MARTS QSL Bureau
The MARTS provides a service for its members to exchange QSL cards at a fraction of the cost of sending them direct.
Most national radio societies operate bureaus, some making an extra charge for this service.
The MARTS provides the bureau as part of its membership services, so only members may send cards to the bureau for distribution.
It should be borne in mind that this is a volunteer service and is not necessarily the quickest way of sending and receiving cards.
Although the sending of QSL cards through the QSL bureau is a members only benefit, MARTS offers a card receive facility for non-members, allowing them to collect incoming cards but not send, a free service as a contribution to the community.
A list of Call signs of non-members' QSL cards received by the bureau will be posted on MARTS' Website and the owners of these call signs are kindly requested to contact MARTS' QSL manager to collect them.
All QSL cards from MARTS members destined for distribution for amateurs in all parts of the world are sent to the MARTS QSL Bureau at this address.

The International Amateur Radio Union Region 1 Conference in Bulgaria has heard the Amateur Radio given during emergencies described as ?radio messengers in times of trouble and hope.
The message came from Dr Kristalina Georgieva, European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response.
The speech acknowledged that the timing for the gathering could not be more indicative for the world we live in and the challenges faced today.
Dr Georgieva said the world has never been better connected and wired, in a way that was only dreamed about in novels.
“Never before, we had this privilege to transmit or exchange information with such accuracy, speed and scope of distribution.
“And never before so many people from all corners of the world and all layers of the society had access to this information, she said in a speech read by Encho Gospodinov of the EU Commission.
However, there are moments when a good, stable, reliable and independent information tool is the only one we can use to save lives. And this is the one we call simply the radio.”

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have asked for an amateur radio emergency communications exercise on September 27, 2014 centred on Sarawak in East Malaysia.
The IARU member society, the Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society (MARTS) and the Amateur Radio Club Sarawak (ARCS), will jointly run the exercise.
It will use the centre of activity emergency frequency 7.110 MHz, near vertical incidence skywave propagation and emphasise the PSK31 digital mode.
The scenario is the failure on the Sarawak electricity grid triggered by an abnormal solar flare which also knocks out all telephones. The exercise is to test the effectiveness of MARTS and ARCS in setting up local and east to west Malaysia communications.
To give authorities a better understanding of the message handling capabilities with accuracy and urgency being important, the IARU message format will be used, as it would should a real life event occur.

MALACCA: Malaysia has 11,626 amateur radio ham operators who can offer help during emergencies or natural disasters.
Head of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) southern region Roszeta Kassim, said of the total, peninsula Malaysia had 9,919 operators.
Sabah had 1,487 and Sarawak had 220, she said. Amateur radio is a scientific hobby that involves construction, study and communication through means of radio waves that brings together fellow enthusiasts who use a set of pre-determined and allowed radio frequencies.
Roszeta said amateur radio operators played an important role in helping the authorities during emergencies and disasters.
“For example, when Johor was hit by the big floods in 2007, a group of amateur radio operators offered assistance as the cellular network was disrupted,” she said.
She said Malaysians aged 14 and above were eligible to become amateur radio operators after passing a MCMC-conducted test.
“Each operator will then be assigned a ‘call sign’ as a unique identity in the amateur radio frequency bands.
“They are allowed to communicate on any subject except politics, religion, commercial dealings and pornography. The operators must self-regulate.
“If other operators were to bring up the issues concerned, they must reprimand them. If the issues are serious, it must be reported to MCMC for further action,” she said. — Bernama
